As the title says, these are the things I would usually rather be doing. I have been crafting in one form or another since I was a very little child. Most of the women in my family were and are crafters in one form or another and I spent a lot of time in "Girl Scout" type groups so I picked up the bug early and honestly. :o) The first craft project I remember that didn't involve macaroni was when I participated in a quilting bee in our church youth group when I was in grade school. It kind of snowballed from there. I will never be as good as my cousin Debbie but I have fun. Tee Hee. (Hi Debbie, if you're out there!)
There are really only three that I try to keep up with now, when I have time: Counted Cross Stitch, Sewing and Knitting. These are the crafts that I am going to concentrate on here. I plan to begin this site with a basic introduction to each craft, some beginner's instructions and some pictures of projects I have done to encourage the reader that if I can do it, anybody can. As I find them, I will also include links to pages related to these crafts that I have found, enjoyed and think might be helpful to the beginner. As the page grows I will include more advanced information and instructions and I may even add a forum if enough interest is generated. (I don't do much in the way of attracting search engines yet so that may be in the very far distant future.)
***I will be updating from time to time so check back every once in a while.***
