Ever since the sixth grade I have known that I wanted to be a writer. Things seemed a lot more black and white back then. All I had to do was write and someone would pay me lots of money and I would be set for life. When I left college I came to realize the depth and breadth of my naivete. Working full time, keeping a house and household and writing are very difficult to do. Then factor in a child and I have no idea how anyone does it. I am still plugging away at it, though. I take my strength from the fact that Frank McCourt didn't publish "Angela's Ashes" until he was in his 60's.

The works you will find here are the result of all of my literary efforts since the sixth grade. Some of the old stuff is kind of good. (At least I like it.) I plan for now to break it down into four categories. This may change as I get more stuff keyed in. It's kind of fun and good writing exersize for me to get this old stuff out and revisit it, which is one of the reasons I did this page. I also want there to be some record of the fact that I existed on this planet as more than a drone. The last reason is, I have all of these great rants and no one but John has ever heard them. :-) So enjoy.

Fiction - Short Stories and Vignettes

I am trying to get into a writing every day habit again. I started earlier in the year but stopped in April. I am going to make a serious effort to try it again.
